CR: Installable ISAM Error

Problem:

While trying to create or display a chart when using CHARTrunner or CHARTrunner Lean, the following error message is diplayed:

Could not find installable ISAM.

This may occur when the data source is an Access database, an Excel spreadsheet, a text file being accessed via OleDb, or some other data source being accessed via OleDb or ODBC.

Solution:

This can occur for a variety of reasons and often happens after new software is installed or when programs that use the Microsoft data access components are updated or upgraded.

The underlying problem is that one or more Microsoft data access components is not installed or registered properly. The following article on Microsoft’s site provides some details and a solution:
